Shafts and bushes

  Shafts and bushes

Shafts and bushes

Brief description:

Ball bearing bushes are rolling bearings for longitudinal movements (linear bearings) that run on hardened and grinded shafts. Whilst the longitudinal movement is taking place, the ball bearings are moved back into the load zone in constant circuits via sealed orbits.

The advantage of these products can be seen by the fact that they have low friction and low breakaway force properties. Depending upon the application, the sliding bushes can be an alternative to the ball bearing bushes.

The shafts are hardened in an inductive manner and have been grinded. This prevents shrinkage.

Available designs:

  • Chrome steel or niro, hard chrome-plated design
  • Solid / hollow shafts
  • Shafts with support or shaft bracket (traverse)
  • Processing of the shaft ends in accordance with customer specification
  • Ball bearing bush with casing, flange or in tandem design
  • Steel or plastic cage
  • Heavy load ball bearing bushes
  • Torque shafts and torque-ball bearing bushes
  • Sliding bushes (linear plain bearing)
  • Length in accordance with customer specification (up to 6m shaft length)
  • Rotary ball bearing bushes
  • Compact ball bearing bushes

Areas of application:
Shaft bushes and ball bearing bushes can be used in almost all sectors. For example, these products are used in column frames in pressing / punching / deburring machines, but are also used as simple guides in special machines and handling units.

Linear Roller Guides

  Linear Roller Guides

Linear Roller Guides

Description:
Re-circulating roller guides work upon the same principle of our re-circulating ball guide. They consist of one rail that has been grinded and machined on the tracks as well as a case-hardened carrier.
However, the rolling element container in this unit does not contain any balls, but rollers. This benefits the load bearing capacity and the rigidity of the system. These systems are used when extreme loads have to be moved in a linear manner with great precision.

Available designs:

  • Various sizes and carriage constructions
  • Available with additional scraper and lubrication systems
  • Can also be supplied in stainless steel / coated design
  • Special greasing possible
  • Various types of carriage
  • High/low temperature design
  • Clean-room design
  • Length in accordance with customer specification
  • Tracks can be joined together

Areas of application:
The re-circulating roller units are primarily used in the machine tool sector.

Precision ball screws and nuts

  Precision ball screws and nuts

Precision ball screws and nuts

Brief description:
Generally, precision ball screws convert a rotary movement into a longitudinal movement and vice versa – meaning the conversion of a longitudinal movement into a rotary movement. A distinction is made between ball screws, roller screw drives and screw drives without rolling elements (trapezoidal screw spindles). Precision screw drives are characterised by their low-friction running and precise positioning properties.

These products require a low drive torque and offer high rigidity when run smoothly.

Available designs:

  • Rolled, swirled and grinded design
  • Large diameter and incline range
  • Nuts in accordance with DIN, flange single nuts, double nuts with pre-tensioning and scrapers
  • Miniature ball screws
  • Processing of the spindle ends in accordance with customer specification
  • Compact ball screws
  • Nuts with flexural systems, flexural pipe system or end cap flexing
  • Chrome steel, stainless steel or coated screw drives
  • Including fixed and movable bearing
  • Available with nut casing or with integrated pulley
  • Special greasing possible
  • Can be supplied with integrated cooling

Areas of application:
Precision screw drives are used in CNC machines, wood processing machines, drilling machines, special machines, grinding machines, eroding machines, printing machines and measurement systems.

Monocarrier

  Monocarrier

Monocarrier

Brief description:
To cut a long story short, monocarriers are a combination of a re-circulating ball guide and a ball screw. The monocarrier consists of a stable cold-drawn base carrier that carries the hardened tracks for the carriages.
With regards to the ball-guided carriages of the monocarrier, the nut belonging to the ball screw that serves to move and set the carriage, is integrated. This means that a monocarrier is a positioning unit that is supported and can be driven.

Available versions:

  • Various strokes and inclines
  • Including cover plates
  • Various precision classes
  • Available inclusive of the motor adapter in accordance with customer specification
  • Low-maintenance design with K1 lubrication system
  • Special greasing possible
  • End switches can be supplied

Areas of application:
Like our screw drives, monocarriers are used in CNC machines, woodworking machines, drilling machines, special-purpose machines, grinding machines, eroding machines, printing machines and measuring systems.

Linear modules

  Linear modules

Linear modules

Brief description:
The LIN axis modules are positioning systems driven by timing belts that can implement linear movements with programmable routes and speeds. Re-circulating ball guides run within the aluminium body. Multi-axle robotic systems can be constructed in a flexible manner to conform to the task in hand by combining multiple LIN modules.

Construction sizes are available for loads ranging from 1 kg to over 400 kg. Depending upon the requirement, it is possible to supply the units without a motor and transmission, with a step motor (SM) or with an servo motor (EC). Control units are prepared for the versions that come complete with a motor.

Available versions:

  • Solo axles, synchronous axles, or support axles
  • With drive shaft in accordance with customer specification
  • With transmission / motor flange in accordance with customer specification
  • Including planetary transmission as well as stepper / servo motor (braked / non-braked)
  • Variable carriage plate length
  • Variable stroke length (standard stroke length: up to 5000 mm)
  • Low-rust design possible
  • Including fixing material
  • Including sensors (mechanical or inductive proximity switches)
  • Low-maintenance design

Areas of application:
The linear modules are primarily used in the construction of special machines. Irrelevant whether dealing with simple feeding, equipping and discharge machines or with a completely modular production line, linear modules have been used for all of these purposes.

Telescopic guide

Telescopic guide

Brief description:
Telescopic guides are linear guides in which the carriage and the rail are not separated by rolling elements. Friction is minimised by coating the raceways in the carriage. It is generally the simplest system for overcoming linear movements. Despite the coating, however, the coefficient of friction is greater than with a recirculating ball or roller guideway.
