Business administration joint degree programme in cooperation with the Ohm University of Applied Sciences

With the dual study programme, you acquire two full educational qualifications: vocational training and a university degree.

Procedure - As a rule, you will spend the first year of the combined degree programme entirely at the training company and begin your training there. After one year, you will then begin your degree programme at Nuremberg Institute of Technology. From now on, the theoretical phases at the university alternate with the practical phases in the company, whereby you complete the practical phases mainly during the semester breaks.

After three and a half years, you will complete your vocational training with an examination at the Chamber of Crafts or Chamber of Commerce. Following this, you will continue to work in the training company both during the lecture-free period and during the practical semester.

After around four and a half years, you will complete your studies with the Bachelor's thesis, which is completed at the training company.

Application process

  1. Application for the combined degree programme.
  2. You conclude a training contract and education contract with us.
  3. With the training contract, you then apply to Nuremberg Institute of Technology for a place on a joint degree programme. To increase your chances of getting a place on a degree programme, you can apply for a place at the university before you start your vocational training, even if you won't start your degree programme until a year later. For example, you can start your vocational training in September, but apply to the university between 2 May and 15 July of the same year (depending on the application period for your degree programme).

If your application to the university is successful and you receive a letter of admission, you accept the study place but do not yet enrol. This means that you do not yet have student status during the first year of training and do not have to pay any student union fees during this time. If you reapply for the same degree programme in the following year with all documents in due time and form, you will be given priority admission. This is called "priority admission". To do this, you must submit your previous letter of admission and a copy of your training contract.
